Project Background
The design-and-built Contract ER256 involves the construction of green link Eco bridge across Bukit Timah Expressway linking Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and Central Catchment Area to enhance fauna movement which was cut off by the expressway built in 1985.
The proposed bridge is to be designed to support dense trees planting to provide a forest habitat to conserve existing native species and to re-establish species that are currently endangered. It is noted that this project goes in tandem with the Singapore’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan to preserve Singapore precious biodiversity.
